Welcoming the Holy Month of Ramadan 1443 H

The holiest month for moslems around the world where they will do fasting, reflection, and prayer is coming. Ramadan 1443 Hijriah or Year 2022, will be coming on this April 2022. For the exact determination, Indonesia Government through Ministry of Religion Affairs or Kemenetrian Agama (Kemenag) will be holding Sidang Isbat 2022.

According to the official statement on the Ministry of Religion Affairs’ website, Sidang Isbat will be held on Friday, April 4th or 1443H Sya’ban 29th, as decided by Fatwa Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) or Indonesian Ulema Council that Sidang Isbat shall be held on Sya’ban 29th.

Sidang Isbat will be held online and offline. For online, the Ministry of Religion Affair will held a live streaming on Ministry of Religion Affair’ Youtube page (Kemenag RI), Ministry of Religion Affair’ Instagram (kemanag_ri) and also the TVRI website. Sidang Isbat 2022 will be held at the HM Auditorium. Rasjidi Ministry of Religion, Jalan MH. Thamrin, Jakarta, at 17.00 West Indonesia Time until finished.

The Ministry of Religion Affair will issue handbill related to Health Protocols on Ramadan as a preparation to do the traditions on Ramadan so that it is safely held and does not cause transmission of the COVID-19 virus.

Broadly speaking, the routine such as tarawih prayers, I’tikaf and any other traditions must still pay attention to Health Protocols.
